Student ProjectsEach year Mr. Ambuehl's students are asked to form teams of two to three people to demonstrate the 21st century skills they have learned in their class through Project Based Learning (PBL). By choosing a topic of their own choice, students are exposed to deep learning experiences that are inquiry based and student-centered. The goal is to promote not only collaborative skills and student ownership of learning but also to promote student success in state and national standards. To ensure the highest quality efforts, most, if not all, of these projects are entered in the “Digital Storytelling Contests (DISTCO)” hosted by North American University (NAU) and sponsored by University of Houston, and University of Texas at San Antonio.(Academy of Teacher Excellence). The following are some of the projects pursued by Mr. Ambuehl's students this academic year.
