Back in 8th grade, I remember not knowing what pathway I wanted to take for high school, whether it be biomedical, engineering, debate..etc. I then went to my counselor for my class planning session to decide what classes I will take, and I told her about how I had no idea what I wanted to be. She then recommended the engineering pathway, which at the time I wasn't that excited for. I had no idea what an engineer was. However, I went on to take my first engineering class: Introduction to Engineering Design with a new teacher named Mr. Ambuehl.

Mr. Ambuehl changed my life. Not only did he teach me about engineering and 3D Modeling but he also taught me how to become a better person in general. He's always telling us the importance of changing your attitude towards education for the better and I really appreciate that about him. His tips are very valuable and meaningful to me. I hope he returns as a teacher for next year as I have been hoping for the last couple of years.I've known Mr. Ambeuhl for 3 years, I have had him as my instructor for 4 classes. His philosophy about grading is probably one of the most lenient, if you do your work. Though I have to say since, he tried to do ed puzzle, though it was an interesting idea to teach the class, I observe it to be time consuming, and most of the time people don't learn as much as they did when doing a hands on approach to the topic, (when learning Maya). That said Mr. Ambeuhl does teach well especially when doing a hands on approach to the topic such as soldering, I had a lot of fun doing the soldering assignments in class. |
